Hans Morgenthau, the political theorist, has said that men don’t willingly accept the truth about human nature and especially about political nature. The aim of politics, Morgenthau says, is not to make people better or to alleviate their misery: it is to increase the power of one man or group of men against the power of another man or group of men. Morgenthau says our enemies are never as bad as we make them out to be, and we are never as good as we think. We’re convinced that we’re moral. And we know damn well that our enemy is only out for power and resources, but has no morals at all. Yet, we, too, are out for power and resources. And our enemy, like us, has a moral sense. He uses that moral sense just as we do, says Morgenthau, to narrow the aperture of his consciousness and ignore his appetite for power.
Some readers will be outraged by my presumption. How dare I regard any group as barbaric. What appalling ethnocentrism! There are no barbarians. There are simply cultures we haven’t taken the time to understand. Cultures to whom we haven’t given sufficient aid. Cultures in need of development. Beneath the skin, all men and women are the same. They have the same needs, the same emotions, and the same ideals. If you simply took those folks you speak of so contemptuously out for a cup of coffee, you would discover that they are just like you and me. But there are barbarians—people whose cultures glorify the act of murder and elevate violence to a holy deed. These cultures portray the extinction of other human beings as a validation of manliness, a heroic gesture in the name of truth, or simply a good way to get ahead in the world.
==The Lucifer Principle: A Scientific Expedition into the Forces of History (Bloom, Howard)
Human existence may be simpler than we thought. There is no predestination, no unfathomed mystery of life. Demons and gods do not vie for our allegiance. Instead, we are self-made, independent, alone, and fragile, a biological species adapted to live in a biological world. What counts for long-term survival is intelligent self-understanding, based upon a greater independence of thought than that tolerated today even in our most advanced democratic societies.
===The Meaning of Human Existence (Wilson, Edward O.)
The Director leads the group of students to the Nurseries. Posted on a notice board are the phrases, “Infant Nurseries. Neo-Pavlovian Conditioning Rooms.” The students observe a Bokanovsky group of eight-month-old babies wearing the Delta caste’s khaki-colored clothes. Some nurses present the babies with books and flowers. As the babies crawl toward the books and the flowers, cooing with pleasure, alarms ring shrilly. Then, the babies suffer a mild electric shock. Afterward, when the nurses offer the flowers and books to the babies, they shrink away and wail with terror.
The Director explains that after200 repetitions of the same process, the children will have an instinctive hatred of books and flowers. A hatred for books is ingrained in the lower castes to prevent them from wasting the community’s time reading books that might “decondition” them. The motivation for instilling a hatred for flowers is more complicated. The Director explains that Gammas, Deltas, and Epsilons were once conditioned to like flowers and nature in general. The idea was to compel them to visit the country often and “consume transport” in the process. But since nature is free, they consumed nothing other than transportation.
In order to increase the consumption of goods, The World State decided to abolish the love of nature while preserving the desire to use transportation. The lower castes are now conditioned to hate the countryside but to love country sports. All country sports in the World State require the use of elaborate apparatus. As a result, the lower castes now pay for both transportation and manufactured goods when they travel to the country for sporting events.
The Director begins to tell a story about a child named Reuben who has Polish-speaking parents. The students blush at the mere mention of the word parent.References to sexual reproduction, including words like mother and father, are now considered pornographic. In the World State, people only use such words in clinical discussions.
Summary: Chapter 2, Brave New World, Huxley
How can anyone truly doubt that the “system”, guided and actively managed by a liberal-collectivist fascist elite, is not breeding closed minded, brainwashed and intolerant future obedient youth who will serve the State above all else as the eyes and ears of the thought police? How can we have hope for the future of America, even the world, when the socialist education system founded by John Dewey and his peers over 100 years ago has now reached the final, well documented goal of its insidious intentions? Restrict freedom of thought, of speech of the use of language itself and the death of freedom in all of its true meanings is assured.
Game over, we have lost. Soon the unindoctrinated will have to be very careful of what they say around their children, even their friends. The thought police will be everywhere, they have been bred now for far too long to hope of escaping our dystopian future.
Have you ever said “America is the land of opportunity”?
Yeah, well that’s because you’re a racist, sexist, homophobic, islamophobic, fascist, misogynistic bigot. At least, that’s what a handout from the PC police at UCLA indicated in a recent handout. That’s right.
If you say that you think the most qualified person should get a particular job, you’re a racist. Even a business owner who declares that he or she doesn’t discriminate is racist (or sexist or something).

“If we define an American fascist as one who in case of conflict puts money and power ahead of human beings, then there are undoubtedly several million fascists in the United States. There are probably several hundred thousand if we narrow the definition to include only those who in their search for money and power are ruthless and deceitful.” The Danger of American Fascism, Henry A. Wallace, 1944
