I have no certainty in the case for anthropomorphic global warming, but then I have no certainty that the case is entirely devoid of truths either. I am an agnostic. However, there is too much State sponsored propaganda, too many careers funded by grants from governments and progressive think tanks and, yes, even in some cases, by the oil companies themselves to not become heavily tilted towards the doubting side in this epic battle for control over our lives by government bureaucrats and “specialists” who have been proven, over and over, to be the least likely to be correct in practically anything about which they profess their expertise.
The laws of thermodynamics require that humankind, for its own basic survival, let alone its absurd pursuit of and rapacious consumption of the unnecessary toys that our advertising and corporate brainwashing culture drives us all to into a self-centered, glutinous frenzy over, that ordered energy be turned into the affluent of our civilization, disordered waste. We are the producers, ultimately of an entropic world of disorder, poison is as good a word as any. I am far more concerned with the destruction of definitive, relatively understandable ecosystems such as our oceans and waterways than I am this monolithic, Ptolemaic and Manichean battle that favors the radically increased invasion of our freedoms, privacy and rights that is the “global warming/climate change” debate.
It is far to much the global bureaucrats wet dream to have validity. Let’s just get back to good old anti-pollution mantra, but gee, our air quality has already improved significantly, the waterways, at least in the US and most of Europe have also shown radical improvement over the polluted days of yore. What would all of these subsidized glorified meteorologists and “one worlder” bureaucrats do all day if it were not for anthropomorphic global climate something?
Myth of arctic meltdown: Stunning satellite images show summer ice cap is thicker and covers 1.7 million square kilometres MORE than 2 years ago…despite Al Gore’s prediction it would be ICE-FREE by now
Seven years after former US Vice-President Al Gore’s warning, Arctic ice cap has expanded for second year in row
An area twice the size of Alaska – America’s biggest state – was open water two years ago and is now covered in ice
These satellite images taken from University of Illinois’s Cryosphere project show ice has become more concentrated
