China is toast–civil unrest is likely as the powers of the State have been shown for being toothless, at least with regards to markets.
Greece is just the beginning of the great EU unraveling. An inevitable end to a bureaucratic, corporatist pipe-dream. America will, if Greece is not “saved” by the tyranny of the ECB, Merkel and the IMF, create another Ukraine utilizing the same neo-Nazi tactics. We have done it before in Greece.
The totalitarian noose will tighten in an America that will be suffering a worse downturn than 2008-2009 by many factors, simply the acceleration of the trend.
Chaos is coming, chaos is already here. It matters little who is ultimately “elected” next year as President, it has not mattered for many elections past. Though there may be a vomiting factor if Hillary is elected (she should be in a maximum security prison), the same policies will be followed in the end–those dictated by the elites and enforced through the unlimited power of the total surveillance state.
So spoke King Canute the Great, the legend says, seated on his throne on the seashore, waves lapping round his feet. Canute had learned that his flattering courtiers claimed he was “So great, he could command the tides of the sea to go back”.
Now Canute was not only a religious man, but also a clever politician. He knew his limitations – even if his courtiers did not – so he had his throne carried to the seashore and sat on it as the tide came in, commanding the waves to advance no further. When they didn’t, he had made his point that, though the deeds of kings might appear ‘great’ in the minds of men, they were as nothing in the face of God’s power.
China outlaws selling! Obama says America will not be impacted by events in Greece! King Canute commands the markets to behave and only go up. Queen Yellen agrees and the Cornucopia of Wonderment and the Möbius strip of fiat wealth creation for the elites will last forever and ever. So it has been decreed! So, it will be done.
Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer of the Frankfurt School of Social Theory authored The Culture Industry or Enlightenment as mass deception, the central premise being the standardisation of modern culture. In it they made the following comparison: “Popular culture is akin to a factory producing standardised cultural goods- through film, radio and magazines- to manipulate the masses into passivity. The easy pleasures available through consumption of popular culture make people docile and content, no matter how difficult their economic circumstances.”
They identified three main problems with the culture industry, namely that it can:
“1. Reduce human beings to the state of mass by hindering the development of emancipated individuals, who are capable of making rational decisions;
2. Replace the legitimate drive for autonomy and self-awareness by the safe laziness of conformism and passivity; and
3. Validate the idea that men actually seek to escape the absurd and cruel world in which they live by losing themselves in a hypnotic state self-satisfaction.”
==Your Thoughts Are Not Your Own Volume Two: Marketing, Movies and Music (Sanders, Neil)
In this unintelligible and limited universe, man’s fate henceforth assumes its meaning. A horde of irrationals has sprung up and surrounds him until his ultimate end. In his recovered and now studied lucidity, the feeling of the absurd becomes clear and definite. I said that the world is absurd, but I was too hasty. This world in itself is not reasonable, that is all that can be said.
==The Myth of Sisyphus: And Other Essays (Vintage International) (Camus, Albert)
The common response of most Americans and the entire progress addicted world to a crisis of mankind’s own making is “they can’t let that happen”, that the all-powerful ‘they’ will, once we are close to the abyss, come forth with white hats waving, the bugles ringing out loud and clear. For, no matter how little we actually think of them, at least so we are told in the polls, the bureaucrats and bankers will have arrived in the nick of time and will save the day. All so we can all live happily ever after in our dazed, oblivious state, a state of total self-delusion. King Canute knew his limitations, but his subjects did not and would not believe it until irrefutable proof was provided. The proof we dread, or at least some of us, is coming. It is coming soon, if not already here for those with eyes and minds not still clouded by the absurdities that the tides can be controlled or that true permanent wealth will be created with the wave of a central bankers wand.
Of course, this is not just an American response in this coddled, dependent, and socialized world, it is an almost universal response in the now Totally Developed Nations (TDN). What happens when we awaken from our dazed, brainless reliance on the mysterious “they”, as if the collective intelligence of bureaucrats and central bankers can became like or even greater than God’s, to find reality staring at us all from an abyss whose bottom can not be known? ‘
The absolute end point of the inherently unstable socioeconomic, political ideology of perpetual corporate expansion and credit induced over-consumption is chaos and collapse. Pull out the last pillars of faith, trust and confidence in the future and in our relatively few remaining rights as lobotomized, dependent servants of the system, and it cannot survive. This does not happen overnight, but we are doing a damn good job of trying to make that happen.
The end game is nigh. I have not the patience or the will power to provide the details, far greater minds than mine have done so and will continue on with trying to carry the flame of rationality and the descriptions of reality, but it is all so much worse, so insidious and dangerous. Never has there been a time of greater peril for the human race than the times that are upon us now.
Many hundreds of millions of lives are at risk. But that is the intended consequences of the path to the slaughter house the people of America and the world have been guided and coerced to take by elites of power and wealth for the past 100 years. The Fabians were a patient lot as have been the transnationalist destroyers of nations. This patience is now being rewarded.
