Brzezinski theorizes that the liberal, democratic societies would support an authoritarian form of government if they were given a choice between a dictatorship and social and intellectual disorder.
==The Unseen Hand: An Introduction to the Conspiratorial View of History (Epperson, A. Ralph)
These are ominous times. . . . In a society controlled by financial monsters, the political order is no longer sustained by faith in critical thought and care for the other. As any vestige of critical education, analysis, and dissent are disparaged, the assault on reason gives way to a crisis in both agency and politics.
==America’s Addiction to Terrorism (Giroux, Henry A.)
There is no national institution left that can accurately be described as democratic.—-Chris Hedges
There are no real boundaries between the power elites, democratic nor republican. There is only the protection of their wealth and power. There is only one goal and whatever it takes to achieve it is not only acceptable and justified, there are no moral or ethical restraints.
As W. Cleon Skousen states in The Naked Capitalist: As I see it, the great contribution which Dr. Carroll Quigley unintentionally made by writing Tragedy and Hope was to help the ordinary American realize the utter contempt which the network leaders have for ordinary people. Human beings are treated en masse as helpless puppets on an international chess board where giants of economic and political power subject them to wars, revolution, civil strife, confiscation, subversion, indoctrination, manipulation and deception
What if both political parties, right and left, are controlled by the exact same people? Quigley shines some light on this topic as well: The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can “throw the rascals out” at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy.
==Tragedy and Hope 101: The Illusion of Justice, Freedom, and Democracy (Plummer, Joseph)
If you can find the time today, seriously, make sure, absolutely make sure you watch this video—Fraud is what I expected, massive fraud is what we got–it will not end. We do not live in a democracy. Wake the hell up America.
Land of the Free? Harvard Study Ranks America Worst in the West for Fair Elections
As if further proof could possibly be needed of the sorry state of the American electoral process, a new study just ranked the United States dead last in electoral integrity among established Western democracies.
The Electoral Integrity Project (EIP)’s 2015 Year in Elections report is an independent research project by 2,000 elections experts from Harvard University and the University of Sydney in Australia assembled to examine the world’s elections.
The EIP states that “the core notion of ‘electoral integrity’ refers to agreed international principles and standards of elections, applying universally to all countries worldwide throughout the electoral cycle, including during the pre-electoral period, the campaign, and on polling day and its aftermath. Conversely, ‘electoral malpractice’ refers to violations of electoral integrity.”
This is one of the most powerful videos I have seen–it is an absolutely must watch.
What does a “provisional ballot” mean? Non-US citizens need to venture into the labyrinthine nature of the presidential electoral process to understand that. But put simply, as worst case scenario it’s a way of allowing people to vote while being able to ensure their votes almost certainly will not count.
Given this, it may not be surprising that US elections are ranked lowest among all western “democracies” for fairness and transparency.
Do watch this documentary and ask yourself the following…
– How would the “international community” and the mainstream media react if this level of chaos, confusion, incompetence and open fraud had been reported during the 2012 Russian presidential election?
– How many articles would you have seen by now in the Guardian, NYT, WaPo et al condemning Russian “tyranny and corruption”?
